Time is on your side

Money returns. Energy recovers. Relationships can heal. Even failure can become experience.

But time is different.

Once it's gone, it's gone forever. Yet time invested wisely can pay dividends for the rest of our lives. A choice. A skill. A friendship. A business. A work of art. One meaningful conversation at the deep end of the pool can echo for decades.

It's not that checking email, scrolling social media, or watching the news don't have their place—they do. But they're also “time bandits.” It's easy to trade what truly matters for what merely entertains or distracts us. For many, those distractions become the perfect hiding place from the work they resist the most.

Take a breath. There’s still time to address global warming. There's still time to ease political division. There's still time to get ahead of the AI revolution that's reshaping our careers. And there's still time to continue to succeed beyond our wildest dreams. But there's no time like the present to begin.

Important because time management isn't about squeezing more into our day. It's about deciding what deserves our attention now—and having the confidence to stop chasing everything at once.

“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” — Andy Warhol
