The Strike is On! Let's Party!

While the top dogs at the WGA & AMPTP gather to battle it out, it’s a great excuse for artists in all areas of the industry to gather at dinner parties, cocktail hours, restaurants and coffeeshops, to network with each other, swap stories, share ideas, and forge friendships. And not just because of the writers strike. It’s more because we’re a unique tribe of independent, creative thinkers. And it’s empowering and motivating to have regular, deep conversations with other like-minded independent artists and entrepreneurs who are confronted with similar concerns, share similar goals, and experience similar angst.

Important because the people we hang with the most are the ones who either encourage us to become the best versions of ourselves, or validate our deepest feelings of unworthiness. Our degree of success is partially dependent on who we know, who we listen to and who we hang out with. Not like we’re snobs, more like we’re picky.
