Buddha's Gaze
Ever notice how the Buddha meditates? Eyes half-open, half-closed. Not blind to the monkey mind, not consumed by it either. Just…aware.
In our everyday adventures in the industry we love, and the life we live, deals fall through, gigs get canceled, promises get broken, and algorithms change overnight. One minute, you're a genius, the next, you're an afterthought. If you're chasing every high and dodging every low, you're on an inner rollercoaster ride with no brakes!
Buddha’s gaze is the antidote. It says: See it all, but don’t get pulled in by any of it.Got a standing ovation? Great. Got ghosted by a friend? Sorry. Acknowledge, adjust, move on. Stay in the game, but don’t let the game extinguish your flame, rob your confidence, or steal your soul.
Important because your power isn’t in controlling the chaos it’s in how you react to it—hopefully, with your eyes half-opened, half-closed. Often filled with angst and concern, yet fully aware, awake, and conscious. Clear-headed enough to make wise and informed decisions moving forward, and clear-hearted enough to visualize the right path with wisdom and insight.
