Being Human
No matter how great a musician, actor, dancer, photographer or voice-over artist you are, you’re still mortal. That’s why they say, “Let’s do another take!”
No matter how skilled or experienced a writer you are, you’re still fallible. That’s why they call it rewriting.
And no matter how smart, good-looking, talented, wealthy, evolved, or successful you become, you’ll still say stupid things, make stupid mistakes, and occasionally slam face-first into a sliding glass door.
Important because we can spend a lifetime learning, growing, improving, meditating, creating, achieving, and becoming better versions of ourselves. But perhaps the real wisdom is remembering that underneath all that progress, we’re still imperfectly human—and in a world where almost everything we do can now be replicated, generated, cloned, or copied, our unique humanness—the messy, unpredictable, sometimes wonderfully weird part of us—may turn out to be our greatest advantage.
