A Beautiful Struggle

As free-spirited, self-reliant artists and treps, we walk a path defined by creativity, imagination, and daring, and we are driven and challenged to bring forth ideas that are new, bold, and different. That said, our independent, creative career/life is both exhilarating and isolating.

Consequently, when we innovate or create great ideas from nothing, we’re celebrated as visionaries, and when we don’t, our work is dismissed as common or mundane. If we buck the system or defy convention, we’re labeled eccentric, and if we cave in or adapt, we risk being labeled sellouts.

Yet through it all, we endure. We persist. We keep creating—not in spite of the struggle, but because of it.

Why? Because while others are busy analyzing, financing, and marketing an idea—we are the ones writing it, designing it, creating it, performing it, and dreaming it into being. This isn’t just work. It’s our identity. It’s how our creative minds function—not like an excuse, more like a quiet, powerful realization of who we are.

Important because our struggle is beautiful, not because it’s hard or easy, but because it’s true. And in that truth, we find our power.
